The Farmhouse loop
Chapter 1 is a repeatable economy-and-search loop: remove hay, convert it into cash at the sell point, improve how much and how quickly you can collect, then return to the pile. The official description promises a hidden needle, but does not publish a spawn coordinate.
Farmhouse step by step
Start with the nearest hay
Use the normal collection input on the loose hay and watch the held amount. Learn how quickly your starting capacity fills before buying anything.
Sell at the cow counter
Carry the collected hay to the visible sell area by the cow. Repeat the short route until you can afford the upgrade that fixes your current bottleneck.
Balance Hold, Grasp and Speed
Hold increases how long you can collect before selling. Grasp improves collection per action. Speed shortens travel between pile, shop and sell point.
Prioritize higher-value hay when visible
Current beginner footage calls out rainbow hay as more valuable. Take it when it fits your route, but do not waste a long detour that leaves the main pile untouched.
Use unlocked tools on dense areas
Dynamite, Pitchfork and Vacuum appear later in the observed run. Save area tools for thick clusters where one use replaces many normal collection actions.
Keep clearing until the needle is exposed
The reliable strategy is systematic coverage: work in lanes or sections, clear visual obstructions, and check newly exposed ground before moving on.

If you cannot find the needle
- Clear the remaining hay around walls, corners and props instead of staring at the same open patch.
- Use a repeatable left-to-right sweep so you can tell which ground is actually checked.
- Do not trust a fixed spawn screenshot from another run unless the game itself confirms fixed locations.
- If the state looks broken after an update, rejoin a new server before repeating the whole search.
